ボニー・ビュークリ博士(Ph.D., ABBP, DFAGPA)は、集団精神療法のセラピストとなる前は、ボランティアのレイプカウンセラーとして、トラウマを受けた個人との仕事を1976年に始められました。彼女のトラウマとグループへの関心は、近親相姦の被害者を対象とした長期精神療法グループから、トラウマを受けた個人の治療へと広がっていきました。トラウマを受けた個人のもつトラウマの種類は多様であり、治療設定の範囲も多様ではありましたが、病院、一般グループや精神分析を含むものでした。 ビュークリ博士は、1990年代のメニンガークリニックのトラウマ部門のプログラム・ディレクターでした。ラモン・ガンザレインとの共著で Fugitives of Incest: A Perspective from Psychoanalysis and Groups(『近親姦に別れを―精神分析的集団精神療法の現場から』(白波瀬丈一郎訳:岩波学術出版社))(1987) を著され、その後もたくさんの多様なトラウマを経験してきた人の本を編著されてきました。また、彼女は、アメリカ集団精神療法学会 9.11アメリカ同時多発テロ事件 災害支援特別委員会 委員長として、ニューヨークやワシントンDC において、2001年9月11日の出来事により外傷を受けた個人に対するグループを行ってきた、集団精神療法認定セラピストに対するコンサルタントを勤められました。 ビュークリ博士はアメリカ集団精神療法学会(AGPA)の元会長かつディスティングイッシュ・フェロー(Distinguished Fellow)であり、さらには力動的集団精神療法の2007年度アロンソ優秀賞の受賞者でもあります。また、アメリカ精神分析学会(APA)に所属しているグレーターカンザス市精神分析機関の前所長であり、個人開業もされ、国際集団精神療法集団過程学会(IAGPGP)理事会員であり、国内外に及び集団、トラウマや精神分析について教育を行われています。

Bonnie J. Buchele, Ph.D., ABBP, DFAGPA, began working with traumatized individuals as a volunteer rape counselor in 1976, shortly before she became a group psychotherapist.  The interests of trauma and group were first combined in her leading homogeneous long-term psychotherapy groups for incest survivors and then expanded to the treatment of traumatized individuals for whom the trauma consisted of a wide variety of trauma; the range of treatment settings widely varied but has included hospitals, general groups and psychoanalysis.  She was Program Director of the Trauma Unit at the Menninger Clinic during the 1990’s.  The co-author with Ramon Ganzarain, of Fugitives of Incest:  A Perspective from Psychoanalysis and Groups (1987), she has since written and edited many books, articles and book chapters about persons who have experienced various types of trauma.  She served as a consultant to certified group psychotherapists in New York City and Washington, D.C., who led groups for traumatized individuals following the events of September 11, 2001.  She is a past president and Distinguished Fellow of the American Group Psychotherapy Association as well as recipient of its 2007 Alonso Award for Excellence in Psychodynamic Group Psychotherapy.  She is the immediate-past Director of the Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute  which is affiliated with the American Psychoanalytic Association, is in private practice, is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes and teaches nationally and internationally about group, trauma and psychoanalysis.
